Brandy (pol. wypalanka, winiak) - napój alkoholowy (wytrawna wódka) destylowany z wina, głównie gronowego. Brandy może być destylowana również z wina owocowego, wówczas jednak powinna być odpowiednio oznaczona, np. Cherry Brandy - brandy wiśniowa itp.
Owocowe brandy to napój produkowany z destylowanej zacieru, soku, wina lub resztek kulinarnych owoców. Termin ten obejmuje szeroką klasę alkoholi produkowanych na całym świecie i zazwyczaj obejmuje napoje z winogron, które są określane jako zwykła brandy (gdy wykonane jest z destylacji wina) lub promace brandy (gdy wykonane jest bezpośrednio z wytłoczyn z winogron).
