Porto (port-wine, portwajn) - wzmacniane wino portugalskie, wytwarzane z winogron zbieranych w dolinie rzeki Douro na północy kraju, w jej środkowym biegu. Porto dojrzewa i jest butelkowane w mieście Vila Nova de Gaia, dokąd dawniej było transportowane w beczkach drogą rzeczną (obecnie lądową) z regionu Alto Douro, gdzie powstaje.
Zebrane grona są miażdżone, po czym poddawane fermentacji do czasu, gdy poziom alkoholu osiągnie ok. 7 procent. Następnie dodawany jest (w proporcji 1:4) spirytus winny (aguardente), w wyniku czego powstaje wino o zawartości alkoholu ok. 20 procent.
Porto nie zawsze jest winem słodkim. Białe jest różnicowane na wytrawne, półsłodkie i słodkie; przy czerwonych nie podaje się poziomu cukru i stanowi to zwykle rodzaj zagadki. Olbrzymia większość najtańszej odmiany porto - Ruby, jest czerwonym winem słodkim lub półsłodkim. Jednak większość Porto Tawny i LBV to wina wytrawne lub półwytrawne. W zależności od odmiany mają one barwę od ciemnoczerwonej (prawie brunatnej) do słomkowej.
