Nalewka z tarniny (Sloe gin) - Alkohol wytwarzany ze składników: tarniny (450 g), ginu (0,7 l), cukru (200 g). Tarninę należy nakłuć w 2-3 miejscach, a następnie zasypać cukrem i zalać ginem. Słój należy przetrzymywać w słonecznym miejscu i regularnie wstrząsać roztwór, przez pierwsze dwa tygodnie codziennie, a później raz w tygodniu. Produkt jest gotowy po 2 miesiącach, ale im dłuższy czas dojrzewania, tym lepszy efekt końcowy.
Bitters, gorzkie wódki, posiadające specyficzny smak lub zapach, stosowane jako składnik cocktaili. W Polsce produkowana jest np. wódka Żołądkowa Gorzka.
