Nalewka z tarniny (Sloe gin) - Alkohol wytwarzany ze składników: tarniny (450 g), ginu (0,7 l), cukru (200 g). Tarninę należy nakłuć w 2-3 miejscach, a następnie zasypać cukrem i zalać ginem. Słój należy przetrzymywać w słonecznym miejscu i regularnie wstrząsać roztwór, przez pierwsze dwa tygodnie codziennie, a później raz w tygodniu. Produkt jest gotowy po 2 miesiącach, ale im dłuższy czas dojrzewania, tym lepszy efekt końcowy.
Wermut - wino aromatyzowane dodatkami ziołowymi i korzennymi[1] (najczęściej piołunem, a także szałwią, kolendrą, goździkami, gałką muszkatołową i in.). Zawartość alkoholu waha się w granicach 12-20% obj. (może być wzmacniane alkoholem). Bywa dosładzane cukrem lub karmelem. Nazwa trunku pochodzi od niemieckiego słowa Wermut oznaczającego piołun.
