Tequila - wódka meksykańska, odmiana mezcalu, produkowana ze sfermentowanego soku specjalnego gatunku tzw. niebieskiej agawy, (Agave tequilana). Jest tam znana od czasów Azteków. Nazwa pochodzi od okręgu w Meksyku, w którym rozpoczęto jej produkcję.
Tabasco - rodzaj ostrej przyprawy, otrzymywanej z kultywaru ?Tabasco' papryki owocowej (Capsicum frutescens), należącego do grupy tzw. papryk chili. Ma owoce o długości 3-5 cm.
Słowo tabasco pochodzi od nazwy Tabasco (stanu w Meksyku) i jest powszechnie znane dzięki ?sosowi tabasco?. W oryginale znaczy ?kraj o gorącej i wilgotnej ziemi?.
Cytryna zwyczajna Citrus limon (L.) Burm., nazywana też cytryną właściwą lub po prostu cytryną - gatunek roślin z rodziny rutowatych (Rutaceae Juss.). Pochodzi z południowowschodnich Chin, lecz współcześnie nie występuje tam ani w stanie dzikim, ani nie jest tam uprawiana. Prawdopodobnie powstała w wyniku skrzyżowania limy (Citrus aurantifolia syn. C. latifolia) z cytronem (Citrus medica). Do Europy trafiła podczas Średniowiecza (starożytni Rzymianie znali i uprawiali tylko cytrony Citrus medica).
