Schnaps - wysokoprocentowy napój alkoholowy, produkowany z destylatów fermentowanych ziemniaków, zbóż, korzeni lub owoców. Dużą popularnością cieszy się w Europie Północnej, krajach niemieckich i USA. Zawartość alkoholu wynosi zwykle ok. 40%. Niemiecki Schnaps jest zwykle przezroczysty, bezbarwny i ma lekko owocowy smak.
Z kilograma owoców powstaje zaledwie kilka gramów Schnappsa. Schnapps jest często kojarzony z czystą mocną wódką, szczególnie w Holandii lub Niemczech. W USA to półsłodka wódka owocowa lub ziołowo-korzenna. Zawartość alkoholu w amerykańskich wódkach waha się zwykle od 20% - 30% obj. W Ameryce popularne są: Old Style Root Beer Schnapps (korzenny), Hazelnut Schnapps (orzechowy), lub Cider Mail (jabłkowy), w Niemczech malinowy Himbeergeist, natomiast w Austrii morelowy Marillenschnaps.
Mountain Dew - napój bezalkoholowy o smaku cytrusowym produkowany przez PepsiCo. Został wynaleziony w Marion (Wirginia) w 1948 roku. Wtedy także został po raz pierwszy sprzedany (w Knoxville w stanie Tennessee).
W Polsce napój pojawił się w 2002 roku i jest wytwarzany przez Pepsi-Cola General Bottlers Poland Sp. z o.o. Dostępny jest w puszkach oraz w butelkach (0.5 l, 1 l, 1.5 l i 2 l).
W październiku 2008 PepsiCo ogłosiło, że z końcem tegoż roku wszystkie loga napojów produkowanych przez firmę oraz niektóre ich nazwy zmienią się. W przypadku Mountain Dew odświeżono logo i wprowadzono nową nazwę - ?Mtn Dew?.
