Curaçao (wym. [kyra?sao]) - nazwa gatunkowa likierów wytwarzanych ze skórek gorzkich pomarańczy. Nazwa likierów powstała od wyspy Curaçao u wybrzeży Wenezueli. Na wyspie tej w przeszłości uprawiano gatunek gorzkiej pomarańczy.
Aktualnie głównym producentem tych pomarańczy jest Haiti. Curaçao można podzielić na:
zwykłe curaçao o zawartości 30% alkoholu
wytrawne "sec" lub "triple sec" (potrójnie wytrawne) zawierające minimum 35% alkoholu.
Charakterystyczną cechą niektórych odmian Curaçao jest ich błękitna barwa Blue Curaçao. Istnieją też inne barwne odmiany tego likieru - zielona, zielono-niebieska czy pomarańczowa.
Tonic - bezalkoholowy napój gazowany, w skład którego wchodzi woda sodowa, chinina oraz soki owocowe. Posiada on charakterystyczny, gorzkawy smak.
Mieszanka wody sodowej z chininą została wynaleziona w 1870 roku przez kolonistów brytyjskich w Indiach.
Tonik zyskał popularność ze względu na szerokie zastosowanie do koktajli. Najpopularniejszym drinkiem z dodatkiem toniku jest gin z tonikiem.
